Career Services

Earning a certificate or degree in vocational and technical skills provides the knowledge, but getting hired is another step in the process of getting the future you want. STVT students use the career services team to set themselves up for a successful job hunt. Services include crafting a resume to mock interviews to vetting employers to help you find you the right fit.

Alumni Resources

Graduation is not the end of the South Texas Vocational Technical Institute journey. You are part of the family even after you’ve left the classroom. Alumni still have access to the career services team for assistance with placement needs and resume support.

Military & Veteran Services

It’s an honor to help those who have served our country find a new career and community at STVT. We understand the unique needs of our military services members and veterans and do what we can to help. From financial aid and enrollment assistance and networking opportunities, our team is here for you.

Externships

Education includes more than what can be learned in a text. South Texas Vocational Technical Institute knows that hands-on experience is critical to our students’ success. Some of our programs provide for students to participate in externships which make it possible to apply knowledge from the classroom to real-world settings. Externships also help you create a stronger resume and candidacy for job openings.
