Business Studies

The Business Studies program provides education for those seeking an entry-level career in business administration. Students will have an opportunity to learn foundational skills commonly used in the workplace, including:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Human Resources
  • Small Business Management

Computer Accounting Specialist

The Computer Accounting Specialist (CAS) program provides specialized training in computerized accounting. Instruction in computer theory and data entry techniques such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database management is also provided. These skills are vital in many common accounting tasks, like calculating accounts payable and receivable, preparing invoices, and running reports. CAS graduates will also learn to perform general office duties, moderate computer work, and moderate accounting duties, including payroll.

Successful graduates of this program are eligible to challenge the Registry Exam for CPA Assistant and Bookkeeper*.

Certification requirements for taking and passing certification examinations are not controlled by STVT but by outside agencies and are subject to change by the agencies without notice to STVT Therefore STVT cannot guarantee that graduates will be eligible to take certification examinations, regardless of their eligibility status upon enrollment.
