Health Care & Wellness

Our healthcare schools throughout South Texas can help you study for a career in the field.

Dental Assisting

At our dental assistant schools in south Texas, STVT teaches the skills and procedures common in private dental offices. With a focus on hands-on training, our graduates will develop the skills and confidence to be successful on the job.

Medical Administrative Assisting Technology

The healthcare industry is big and, at times, complicated. Professionals with medical administrative assistant training should prepare for a career that provides a unique place within the healthcare field. Medical Administrative Assistants often work as the glue of the office, keeping everything humming while they perform a variety of important functions. Medical Assisting

As a Medical Assistant, you become an important part of a healthcare team. Professional Massage Therapy

Skilled Trades

Are you looking to work with machinery and equipment to solve problems? Check out our skilled trades programs. At STVT, you’ll receive hands-on and classroom training, and work with industry-standard equipment that prepares you for real-world responsibilities in your new career field.

Air Conditioning, Heating, & Refrigeration

Do you have an interest in fixing and repairing air conditioning units, furnaces, and refrigerators?  Our HVAC training focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of systems, including heating and air conditioning systems, coolers, chillers, icemakers, and more. You will have the opportunity to learn the theory of cooling and heating that supports all of these systems’ operations.

Automotive Service Technician

Our auto mechanic school offers an excellent opportunity to receive hands-on, real-world automotive service technician training from experienced instructors. In-depth car mechanic courses may prepare you for an for an exciting career in the field

Combination Welding

A career in welding can help open doors to work in a variety of different industries and geographic areas throughout the country. As a student in one of our welding schools, you have the chance to learn shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, and flux core arc welding, all of which are used by companies in America today.

Commercial Driving License/CDL

Our CDL Training: Class A Tractor Trailer program is quick and focused on learning, making it a great option for those that aren’t looking to spend years completing traditional education before finally starting their careers. 

Diesel – Heavy Truck

In our Diesel Mechanic program, you have the opportunity to learn to inspect, diagnose, service and repair diesel-powered medium and heavy-duty vehicles like semi-trucks and buses. Major systems are covered, and hands-on experience simulating real-life working conditions are practiced.

Business Studies

In the Business Studies program, students are provided an opportunity to establish an introductory-level foundation in administration, customer service, accounting, sales and marketing, project management, and entrepreneurship. The Business Studies program at STVT can help you develop a foundation to become an essential member of an office team.

Funding for Veterans

Some forms of financial aid are only available to good standing members of the military and their families. These military funding opportunities for schools can have additional restrictions, and our financial aid team is happy to discuss these programs with you in detail. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. 

MyCAA for Military Spouses 

This program provides up to $4,000 worth of aid to eligible military spouses. The scholarship is available to those pursuing a license, certification, or Associate degree in a portable career field as designated by the Department of Defense.

GI Bill™

The GI Bill™ was recently updated and provides expanded veterans education benefits to service members. The program was modernized somewhat, with most changes increasing availability of programs and funds. A full summary of the changes is available on the Veterans Affairs website.
