South Texas Vocational-Technical Institute’s (STVT) in-depth car mechanic courses will prepare you for an exciting career in the automotive field. Not only does our program cover front-of-shop skills in customer service, but we’ll also go through inspecting, diagnosing and repairing 4, 6, and 8-cylinder foreign and domestic vehicles. Major systems covered include engine performance, steering and suspension, brakes and tires, and electrical and air conditioning.
