Automotive Service Technician

Are you a hands-on learner who has a passion for automobiles or mechanics? Then let STVT help you develop the skills necessary to become an entry-level automotive service technician in as few as 50 weeks. Our AST diploma program offers flexible scheduling and affordable, practical training for troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing various makes and models of automobiles.

Our classes combine theory with practical application of hands-on skills. Students will learn the use of hand and specialty tools, the importance of shop safety procedures plus customer service skills. Our program is taught by professional instructors in simulated shop environments to help you develop the hands-on experience that employers seek.

At STVT, we are committed to helping you build a strong foundation for your future success as an automobile service technician. The AST graduate will be qualified for entry-level employment and have skills in computerized and conventional systems. Students must possess a high school diploma, GED or recognized equivalent. Non-high school graduates or students who do not possess appropriate equivalency may be admitted under ability to benefit (ATB) criteria with a minimum score of Verbal-200 and Quantitative-210 on the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test.
