Do you want to be a key member of a medical office and have a rewarding career helping others? Then STVT’s Medical Administrative Assisting Technology (MAAT) diploma program is for you!

Our MAAT course of study is led by career professionals and designed to prepare students for a career in medical office administration. Key tasks include patient scheduling, obtaining and entering patient medical information into specialized software, handling billing and insurance claims, coding and medical records management.

Students must possess a high school diploma, GED or recognized equivalent, or demonstrate the ability to benefit from training. The MAAT graduate will be qualified for entry-level employment at a medical office, clinic or minor emergency center. Job titles may include receptionist, insurance clerk, billing specialist or administrative assistant. Graduates are eligible to challenge the Registry Exam for Medical Insurance & Coding Specialist and Medical Office Assistant.
